Rare Antique Austrian Sterling Silver Abstract Table Top Bell 1809.
An amazing sterling silver table bell from the early C19th century (1809) identified by the engraved back to front letter F and an R which were used in that year only to identify silver items whose owners had paid it’s value to the state after their costly war with France which almost bankrupted their economy. the wheel of the Austrian Hallmark is also present but sadly the maker’s mark is ineligible. The almost abstract finial is itself an incredible piece of art for that era.
It is approximately 8cm high and has a diameter of around 5cm and weighs 104 grams.
It is in very good condition with a perfect sound.
