The Fuel Flow 060 Piston Pump 6 Volt model is a specialist replacement fuel pump and is suited to any application that has a 6 Volt power supply. Although this pump is used in a variety of different applications it is typically used in motorcycles and vintage vehicles.

The Fuel Flow range of electric fuel pumps are ideal replacements for both mechanical and electric original equipment fuel pumps. This model is the 6 Volt FF060 which is suitable for both Positive and Negative Earth applications.

Deciding which fuel pump to use is a simple matter of knowing the voltage and either the vehicles engine size or fuel flow requirement, no vehicle application catalogues are required. All models are also suited as a supply pump for diesel applications.

As a rule of thumb with the 6v pumps, the voltage should be maintained between 5 and 7 volts at all times.  Variances outside of this range will start to stress the switching transistor and the more extreme the voltage the quicker the failure.  This is the same reason why the contact style SU pumps burn out the contacts and why SU customers regularly complain about having to replace the contacts in their pumps.
