Fits BMW E46 M3 (6 Speed S54 Only) Vibra Technics Gearbox Mount - Fast Road BMW468M

The following product is suitable for: BMW E46 M3 with the 6 Speed S54 Transmission Only.

Please Note: This mount and cross member is designed to fit the M3 with the OEM exhaust and headers. Aftermarket systems with larger diameter pipes may give clearance issues.

The original BMW gearbox mounts allow significant movement and are not suitable for motorsport applications. Aftermarket mounts do not address the fundamental flaws in the design and can still fail leaving the gearbox to move unrestrained. This unique design is a complete cross member that has high shear modulus insulator elements built in. It is completely fail safe and is a significant upgrade to the OEM design. It virtually eliminates unwanted movement that can affect gear selection and alignment of the driveshaft without compromising NVH performance. Replaces gearbox support, BMW part number 22312229198 and its mountings. The position of all mountings is described as it would be from the drivers seat. For example, Left Hand mounts are on the Gearbox / passenger side of a Right Hand Drive car.

The Fast Road mounts give significant improvements in ride and handling without adversely affecting vibration isolation. The competition mounts can also eliminate clearance problems with strut braces, exhaust systems, body panels etc. They improve handling whilst still giving vibration isolation at high engine speeds. Competition mounts are not recommended for road use.

Vibra-Technics have developed a small range of suspension bushes which are designed to significantly reduce the suspension geometry changes resulting from acceleration, braking and cornering forces. This gives improvements in the car stability and cornering "feel" without limiting normal suspension travel.
