Perline ovali Charoite (1)
We are selling a large quantity of Charoite beads for a friend who was in the jewellery trade but has retired. Charoite is a rare mineral only found in the Chara River valley of Siberia. It was exported in small quantities up to around 1990 but apparently is no longer. This supply has come from a source in Amritsar and was bought around that time and has been sitting in a carboard box ever since! Unlike the majority of Charoite beads on ebay at the moment, these have not been dyed, their colour being completely natural.
To help buyers each lot is photographed with a label to explain what it is (see pics). This particularly attractive lot is for 30 x 22mm oval beads some 40 cms long and weighing a hefty 120grams. Ideal for necklace making.
