The rosettes grow to around 7 or 8 cm across. and form into a mound of numerous wedge shaped leaves with red tentacles. The leaves can curl quite dramatically around larger insects. Pink flowers appear on long stalks in summer months. Offset plants can appear from the roots of this plant, often forming into clumps of plants. Will die back in colder weather but can survive light frosts and return to growth in warmer weather.
